The Macallan Chairmans Release 1700 Series Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml is a limited edition single malt Scotch whisky produced by The Macallan, a renowned distillery in Speyside, Scotland. The 1700 series was created to pay homage to the founding of the distillery in 1700, and each release in the series is named after a different Chairman of The Macallan.

The Macallan Chairmans Release 1700 Series Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml This particular release is named after Allan Shiach, who was Chairman of The Macallan from 1981 to 1996. The whisky is matured in a combination of first-fill Spanish oak sherry seasoned casks and second-fill American oak bourbon seasoned casks,   and is bottled at a cask strength of 52.5% ABV.

On the nose, the Macallan Chairmans Release 1700 Series Single Malt offers aromas of vanilla, dried fruits, and spice, with a hint of orange peel. On the palate, flavors of toffee, dark chocolate, and raisins are complemented by a warming cinnamon spice. The finish is long and rich, with notes of oak and dried fruits lingering on the palate.
