Tasting note: Flawless bright gold with a pale straw hue. Semi sweet aromas are pristine and sherry focussed with traces of peat. Brief aeration releases more dried fruits, along with vanilla and gently warming spices. Light to medium weight, super-soft on delivery with dilute butterscotch flavours and delicate, warming spices. Hints of peat become more salient towards the finish. Concludes squeaky clean and feather weight. Reminiscent of the recent Bruichladdich bottling, ‘Laddie 10’, likewise, this offers great buying value for your next slightly better-than-everyday-drinking dram. 40% Alc./Vol.
