We thought. Why not finish Ballantines 7 Year Old Bourbon barrels. So we finished Ballantine’s in Bourbon barrels.

Thanks to the 7-year ageing process and the finish in bourbon barrels, this whisky combines the depth and complexity of Scotch with the sweet, creamy notes of bourbon to give you the best of both worlds. Expect to find the vanilla and apple notes characteristic of  the Ballantine’s family, as well as extra layers of sweet caramel from the bourbon barrel finish.

Nose: Sweet, soft red toffee apples mixed with honey and vanilla, topped off with gentle floral notes

Taste: Soft red apples echoing the nose, intermingled with ripe pear and creamy caramel

Finish: Long and sweet
