“Notes of hearty malt, oak, and pear with a dollop of honey appear on the nose. The whisky is full in the mouth with a rich, sweet flavor at first. Then, toasted grains become the dominant flavor on the mid-palate with a moderate amount of barrel spices adding some dimension to the dram. The finish has a pretty good length and it balances both a robust grains taste with a fruity flavor (plums, pear) without being too sweet.
