Aroma: Creamy vanilla opens followed by toffee could be caramel. The two settle to give a softer mild nose which gives way to both fresh and stewed apple. Fresh cut oak arrives late. The notes are slightly, green with a hint of lacquer. A hint of wood putty can be seen nearer the bottom of the whisky giving a light viscosity
Taste: Wood spices come to the fore. Ginger, nutmeg lead. A warmth is noted on the palate, could be forgiven for being slightly peppery. Sweetness enters later, with soft citrus fruits. Oak is clean and slightly dry
Finish: Oaky, light fruit and sweet
