Highland Park Wings of the Eagle celebrates Orkney’s wild and windy island climate. Matured in both sherry seasoned European and American oak casks resulting in a glowing amber natural cask driven colour; its spicy and elegant character reveals a sophisticated combination of flavours layered as intricately as the feathers of an eagle’s wing.

Highland Park Wings of the Eagle have created the 16 year old Wings Of The Eagle to celebrate their wild and windswept island. the waters are stormy, the winters are long, and no tree can survive for long… but that just makes for a more harmonious whisky. The island is so wild that the Orkney winds can reach speeds of over 100 miles per hour in winter. It means that the moorland peat is woodless but rich in fragrant heather, which, when burned, produces the characteristic aromatic smokiness of the whisky. In this whisky’s case, when you pair that smokiness with maturation in hand-picked sherry seasoned European oak casks, you capture an intriguing depth of flavour.
