It’s whiskey as nature intended it—bottled straight from the barrel at its full proof. Intense, smooth, and remarkably varied, Barrel Proof is bottled at anywhere from 125 to 140-proof, taking Jack’s trademark vanilla and toasted oak flavours to bold new levels.

An exclusive bottling for La Maison Du Whisky.

This version named Flavorful & Balanced shows Jack Daniel’s in a particularly nuanced, profound and yet remarkably well-balanced light. Not only exotic, honeyed, powdery, empyreumatic, spicy, floral and balsamic, the palette of flavours and aromas also highlights the quality of the very fruity and creamy spirit.

Tasting Notes:

Nosefull-bodied, distinguished. Wavering between notes of mango, apricot, heather honey, orange and vanilla, the first nose is impressively precise. Allowed to breathe, cocoa powder, green liquorice, burnt wood, clove and curry create an olfactory entity of rare richness. Little by little as time passes, sweetcorn, rose petal and gentian root take centre stage.

Appearanceorangey copper.

Palate: clear, lively. The very floral attack (geranium, tuberose) reveals exotic fruits (mango, guava) and red fruits (raspberry, strawberry) on a mineral backdrop (slate, pencil lead). The deliciously vanilla and praline mid-palate is also herbaceous (tobacco), candied (apricot), tertiary (walnut, chestnut) and floral (purple lilac). In the aftertaste, abundant sweetcorn rolls across the palate.

Overalllong, taut. The start of the finish allows a glimpse of the clarity and purity of a spirit that expresses flavours of raspberry and quince. Next, vanilla pod and maple syrup form an especially creamy and smooth duo. The balsamic (pine), resinous (ginseng) and vanilla retro-nasal olfaction is a subtle combination of power and softness. The empty glass is liquoricey, fruity (mandarin), burnt and vegetal (coriander, dill).

Alcohol Volume: 64.5%
