Loch Lomond The Open Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The attractive isle of Inchmurrin is that the largest of the Loch Lomond’s islands and was once home to the chapel designed by Christian monks within the 7th century. It called the ‘Grassy Isle’ it’s soft, rounded and splendidly overgrown – attributes wanted in many malt. It is somewhat fitting that the ‘grassy isle’ lends its name to the present exquisite 12 year previous single malt. distinctive because the island itself with grassy notes and floral hints of pear drops, custard, soft fruits, vanilla and fudge. Aged in 3 hand-selected varieties of cask – bourbon, refill and recharred – these whiskies are then married along in a very balance identified solely to Master liquidizer, Michael Henry. The first in the series is the Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition, it was created to celebrate golf’s original championship and, for that, it is sold in the unique golf-themed gift box. The smell is of ripe orchard fruits and a touch of dried mango is covered with maple syrup and brown sugar. The taste is creamy vanilla oak and gentle florals giving a pleasant company for apricot, pear and green apple. It ends with gentle peat smoke.
