Ron Zacapa Centenario Xo Dark Rum 700mldisplays a deep mahogany color and fine legs in the glass. The nose is seductive with hints of cola, banana, leather, sherry and cane. The initial taste is well balanced between dry and sweet with hints of cognac and vanilla leading to caramel, cola, toasted hazelnut, ripe banana, tobacco, honey and smokey oak. The velvet smooth finish has no bite, with long sweet caramel, vanilla and spice notes fading slowly.
Solera is a process for aging liquids such as wine, beer, vinegar, and brandy, by fractional blending in such a way that the finished product is a mixture of ages,
with the average age gradually increasing as the process continues over many years.
