Tasting note: Bright pale straw gold. Initially mezcal like, with big smoke on the nose that’s also earthy, cocoa-infused while being mildly kippery / briny. Air contact draws out a fruity aspect (dried pear / stewed apple?) Beautifully integrated ashy, peaty, fruity delivery leading into a seamless finish with lingering shortbread, orchard fruit and sweet-peat. The balance is fabulous, as is the almost effervescent maritime freshness associated with this distillery. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
