Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old Cask Strength 2025 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL
The Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old Cask Strength 2025 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL is a powerful and highly anticipated annual release from the iconic Islay distillery, bottled at natural cask strength to deliver uncompromised flavour and depth. Matured primarily in sherry casks, this unchill-filtered and natural colour expression showcases Bunnahabhain’s signature coastal elegance combined with rich sherried complexity.
Unlike many Islay whiskies, Bunnahabhain is renowned for its unpeated style, allowing the whisky’s maritime character, dried fruit richness, and spice-driven intensity to shine. The 2025 release continues the tradition of excellence, making it a must-have for collectors and serious single malt enthusiasts.

Finish: Long, warming, and complex with lingering sherry sweetness, oak spice, and coastal notes.
Key Features:
✔ Bottled at natural cask strength for maximum flavour
✔ Annual limited 2025 release
✔ Unpeated Islay single malt with coastal influence
✔ Matured predominantly in sherry casks
✔ Natural colour and non-chill filtered
"The press release described this one as lighter, more coastal, and with more structure than prior releases. While I don’t have another release to compare it to, the palate is certainly gentle especially for a cask strength, sherry-heavy single malt. That’s not to say the flavors are thin. Far from it. This one is packed with rich, sweet notes of barley sugar, baked apricot, and marmalade, all infused with a gentle warmth that barely registers as cask strength. The midpalate shows a bit of that coastal kiss Bunnahabhain is famous for with salted nuts and an almost lemony brightness before returning on the finish to warmer baking spice, pipe tobacco, candied orange peel, and hot cocoa. The standard 12 year old is no slouch, but this bottling takes it to another level. And then some." - Drew Beard, Drinkhacker (95 Points)
