Description

Craigellachie is an unapologetically unique and challenging Single Malt. This is a complex dram, packed with flavour and texture. 13 Years Old, from an 1891 distillery. Bottled at a punchy 46% ABV. A stubborn, sulphurous single malt, condensed in rusted worm tubs on an inhospitable rocky bluff. "... The palate is, unsurprisingly, thick and creamy with huge fruit that fills the mouth. A highly physical, old-style Speyside dram with classic distillery character. A statement whisky that is a must-try." - Dave Broom, Whisky Advocate

Awards:

Double Gold Medal - San Francico World Spirits Competition 2016. Bronze Medal - World Whiskies Awards 2016 Tasting note: Clear, brilliant gold. Fruity, almost floral nose. Second pass hints at lucerne mulch and new leather. 3-4 minutes in the glass reveals ripe orchard fruits. Semi sweet with a delicious, buttery-malt / spicy pear mid palate; more pepper and oak input to finish. Terrific depth. Late fruitiness with the peppery quality lingering. Undeniably a stand out sub $100 malt. 46% Alc./Vol.
