Only water and the heart of the agave are used to make Del Maguey Mezcal Vida 750ml. The agave hearts are roasted over hot stones in a pit for three to five days, then ground to mash by horse-powered stone mills. This is followed be extensive fermentation in wooden vats and a slow process of twice-distilling in wood-red clay or copper stills.
