This is the ‘Cask Strength’ Tawny Cask Matured Single Malt Whisky from the Launceston Distillery. Aged in small French oak casks which previously held tawny fortified wine (Australian-style port) Batch H17-20, bottled at 63.5% abv. Tasting Notes Nose: Appealing fragrant aromas of tawny port, giving fruit and oak, as well as darker aromas of coffee grounds and oiled wood. Taste: Complex sweet tawny-influenced flavours of dried fruit, Christmas pudding and spice. Dark berry jam presents itself after some time.
