Tawny in colour, the Starward Wine Cask Single Malt Edition 1 is bottled at 41% alcohol, so it's not harsh on the nose or palate. The nose itself is gorgeous, with sherry stewed sultanas, banana, brown sugar, caramelised apple and a hint of rubber (it doesn't sound nice but it actually works). On the palatethose tropical fruit sensations continue and the banana even evolves into an almost banana bread flavour.\u003c\/p\u003e  Starward NOVA is uniquely Australian, crafted exclusively with local wine barrels for maturation resulting in a Whisky with balanced aromas of raisins, bananas and a touch of balsamic lead to clove, toffee and nougat. The palate is filled with red berries, hints of cinnamon and a variety of savoury and spice driven notes.
