Aultmore 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ML

Aultmore distillery was completed in 1896, and was powered by a water wheel until 1898 when a steam engine was fitted. This engine was in almost continuous use for nearly 70 years, and was only decommissioned in 1969 when electricity was finally introduced to the distillery.

Part of Dewar’s The Last Great Malts range launched in 2014, this Aultmore 12 Year Old is the first release from the distillery for a few years and is elegant, light and fruity.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Very fresh and vibrant. Clean, refreshing notes of Cox’s apple and pear, with a gentle creaminess and some aromatic floral notes, too.
Palate: A touch richer on the palate than expected, but still soft and fruity, with some sweet pastry/custard-tart notes. Florality lifts the palate.
Finish: Very clean and measured, with the soft fruits gently receding.
